For cyclists, skiers, snowboarders and mountain enthusiasts, the Oxygène Shop is the place to be. Located in Le Monêtier-les-Bains, Serre Chevalier, right in the heart of the village. We have a large selection of trail and cycling products that you can purchase during the summer months. We also stock a variety of road and mountain bikes, that are available to rent for a few hours or a full day. Turning into winter mode, the Oxygène Shop swaps to skis, snowboards and boots. We have a super selection of rental gear that caters to all levels, wants and needs. On top of that, we also specialise in custom boot fitting.

We take pride in making sure your equipment works perfectly for you. Our professional boot fitting service tailors ski and snowboard boots to the unique shape of your feet. We guarantee all-day comfort and maximum performance. For summer explorers, our climbing and Via Ferrata section includes everything from harnesses, shoes, ropes and helmets. Oxygène Ski School began in 1992 in the ski resort of La Plagne in the Savoie region of France. Expanding to Val d’Isère in 1995, Adrien and Charlotte joined the fantastic Oxygène team. They worked here as instructors for 8 years.
Charlotte, a local to Serre Chevalier, and Adrien, originally from Paris, had a dream of one day returning to their Southern Alps and starting their own mountain business, combining everything they love – cycling and the great outdoors. And this is where it all began…
In 2019, the birth of Oxygène Serre Chevalier began. Starting as a ski school in a small office in Monêtier-les-Bains. Year upon year they grew and developed their own style. They now cater for other fellow mountain enthusiasts who enjoy trail running, cycling and winter sports.
Ski and snowboard lessons, equipment hire and an at home chalet fitting service, delivering ski and snowboards to your door. Specialists in custom boot fitting, bike rentals, MTB lessons and guiding. This is The Shop perfect for ski, trail and biking! And to top it off, during the summer months there is also a cafe.

What are your opening months and times?
We’re open all year round and focus changes with the seasons.
- Summer (May to October): Bike rental, climbing & Via Ferrata gear, trail products and MTB guiding and lessons.
- Winter (December to April): Ski and snowboard rentals, lessons and boot fitting services.
Our opening hours vary slightly depending on the season. Please check our Google listing or contact us directly before your visit.
Do I need to book my bike or ski rental in advance?
We always recommend booking anything in advance. Especially during weekends and school holidays, to ensure availability of your preferred size and model. However, you’re also welcome to visit the shop directly. We’ll do our best to find the perfect equipment for you.
Can I try equipment before buying it?
Yes! Many of our bikes, skis and snowboards are available for demo or rental before purchase. This way, you can make sure you’re investing in the right gear for your style and comfort.
Can I grab a coffee while visiting the shop?
The Oxygène Cafe is open during the summer season only. Our friendly coffee terrace is the perfect place to relax before or after your adventure. Whether you’re waiting browsing our shop or just passing by on your bike, enjoy a good espresso, juice and/or ice-cream.
Do you offer bike or ski repairs and maintenance?
Absolutely. Our team provides repair, tuning and maintenance services for both bikes and winter equipment. Whether it’s a flat tyre, a wax and edge or a full tune-up, we’ll get you back on the trail or slope in top shape.
What is custom boot fitting, and do I need to book it?
Custom boot fitting ensures your ski or snowboard boots perfectly match the unique shape of your feet. We adjust shells, liners and insoles for maximum comfort and performance.
We recommend booking your fitting appointment in advance, especially during busy winter weeks.
Do you sell climbing or Via Ferrata equipment all year round?
Our climbing and Via Ferrata section is available mainly during the summer season (typically May to October). We stock everything from harnesses and helmets to full alpine kits – ideal for local routes or bigger mountain adventures.
Are road bikes and eMTBs available for all levels?
Yes! We have a wide range of road and electric mountain bikes for all levels – from beginners to expert riders. Sizes start at 24 inches to XL!
